Week 12

The group assignment should be submitted latest on Week 13 (26th December 2015) before Saturday midnight. We gradually completed the group assignments. Some part have not complete, about can finish the whole group assignment next week. 

The title of our group assignment is “Beginner’s Introduction to Photography”. This assignment is about the Basic photography online course, this project will teach learners about photography techniques, the use DSLR camera, editing photo in Adobe Photoshop and light room. This courses will help people interested to photography to be knowledgeable in the basic techniques in taking and editing photograph. The project aims to:
·       Arm learners with basic techniques in taking photo with DSLR camera
·       Enable learners to edit photo with Adobe Photoshop photo editing software
·       Let learners learn matters related to photography in a fun, convenient and affordable way.

This course is intended for people live too far to technique teaching institute and also people that don’t have enough time for learning, they can visit this web site any time and any place. Our target audience would be people interested to photography or wanted to improve their skill on photo shooting. This project targets people between 18 to 30 years old.

We plan 7 lesson to our target audience, that is:

lesson 2: Camera Settings 
lesson 3: Lighting 
lesson 4: Composition 
lesson 5: Format and software 
lesson 6: Equipment and software 
lesson 7: Tips and trick

In this 7 lesson, learner can easy understand because we use the presentation slide show and video to teaching.

Week 11

Today, lecturer turn back the assignment 1 to us because we must redo the assignment 1. When I open the report, I have 11 mistake in my assignment but the bigger mistake is APA style. What is APA style? 

APA style is a format for academic documents such as journal articles and books. It is codified in the style guide of the American Psychological Association (APA), titled the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. The APA states that the guidelines were developed to assist reading comprehension in the social and behavioral sciences, for clarity of communication, and for "word choice that best reduces bias in language". APA style is widely used, either entirely or with modifications, by hundreds of other scientific journals (including medical and other public health journals), in many textbooks, and in academia (for papers written in classes). Along with AMA style and CSE style, it is one of the major style regimes for such work. Many publications have small local style guides that cascade over AMA, APA, or CSE style in a way analogous to how inline styles in HTML cascade over CSS styles (for example, "follow APA style unless otherwise specified herein" or "for issues not addressed herein, follow APA style").

In response to the growing complexities of scientific reporting, subsequent editions were released in 1974, 1983, 1994, and 2001. Primarily known for the simplicity of its reference citation style, the Publication Manualalso established standards for language use that had far-reaching effects. Particularly influential were the "Guidelines for Nonsexist Language in APA Journals," first published as a modification to the 1974 edition, which provided practical alternatives to sexist language then in common usage. The guidelines for reducing bias in language have been updated over the years and presently provide practical guidance for writing about race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, and disability status.

Week 10

Online courses are well suited for motivated people want to learn new skills, advance their career did not give up their commitment to their work or family. Get education online will also save a lot of money. Although some people think that online education is just a terrible alternatives to traditional education because of the savings and convenience, in fact, there are many other advantages. Only online education fully integrated into today's education technology. Also more efficient fast, especially the motivation of learners, providing skills a lack of resources in the traditional education despite high demand from employers. Can even claim that online course is not an option, but a different path has its own reward.


A good online course must often upgrade when after half a year. After that, web designers must design a let learners can feel comfortable and convenient page. This can let learners often browsing this web page. In addition, web page design plays a very important role, web of good and bad can affect learners' psychology. 

A well-designed for online course nurtures both learners learning and learners retention. While ideal values will be from the start is designed to be an online course, the reality is that in the range of electronic learning, and there is a wide range of quality. As a result, almost every online course can benefit from periodic updates. Once the development and implementation of online courses, however, they of course could not be changed or updated for a period of time. Web designers will check the important cultural factors, the purpose of strengthening course and create it. Analysis in this level rich course has great potential.

Week 9

Digital writing here covers the conventions and principles of writing and adapting content for the digital environment, including blogs, website content, online learning materials, etc. In today's world of text messages, twitter, blog and social networking, young people write better than ever before. Students face many new cultural success in today's fast-paced, information rich world, however, most schools don't catch up with the digital reality, students in their daily life. Because digital writing problems, national writing a new book project , looking at what educators, parents, and policy makers can do to help the school to meet the challenges of the new digital culture and technology related students communication skills and equipment they need in school and in the global workplace.

Digital Writing Matters describes how. Digital writing is more than just a skill; it is a means of interfacing with ideas and with the world, a mode of thinking and expressing in all grades and disciplines. After that, digital writing can help students develop critical thinking skills and support learning across all subject areas and educators, community members, and policymakers must work together to promote technology development in schools to create learning environments that support digital literacy.

Week 8

After we submit the assignment 1, we must start the assignment 2. The title assignment 2 is develop digital instructional content for an online course. This is a project meant for a group of 3 – 4 students. In this project, we are to propose an online course and develop the digital instructional contents (instructional/ training materials) for the training course that is to be delivered to meet the needs of a specific target audience. It can be an online short course, MOOC or any particular programme’s course. We should come out with the course content/ syllabus and its supporting instructional/ training materials such presentations slides, video tutorial, application, or interactive eBook, etc. that can be uploaded to a learning platform. Our project should be planned and developed based on the theories, principles and concepts of instructional design and UX and psychology of interaction learned. Compose our product in such a manner that it will be easily used and upload to any learning platform. Limit our focus to 3 - 4 important topics of a course. We do not need to develop the digital instructional contents / materials for the entire course. Instead, focus on a specific set of topics and instructional materials to be used for those topics.

The weightage of this group project is 50% of the overall marks for the course. There are two parts
in this group project:
Part 1: Select a Course and Submit a Report
Submit a report on what course we proposed, how we will use the relevant theories, concepts and models related to instructional design and UX and psychology of interaction to design and develop the course. We should also include information about our course design and the use of an appropriate learning platform for our course.
Part 2: Design & Develop the Actual Instructional Content / Materials
Based on our planning and analysis, we are required to design and develop the actual digital instructional content / materials for the project.

Week 7

This week must submit the assignment 1 before Sunday midnight and the report must save document in Microsoft Word format and is to be named using the naming convention stated below: “Assignment1_<tutorial group number>_<student_name>”. e.g. Assignment1_M2RML1_Lam Siew Wen. 

After that, the report format must use 1.5 spacing and 12-point of Times New Roman font and the assignment should contain about 2000 – 2500 words. Week 6

Through the assignment 1, I know what is the user experience. With the change of the time the user's demand will be more and more high. Users will feel dissatisfied when a user in a web page to use for a long time for a long time. If our website no progress with times users will be less and less, because users will find a better network teaching. online teaching in addition to the teaching material should be enough to ensure each user can easy to use, each button allows the user to find the information they need and answer.In addition, the user experience is a domain extensions and extension in the field of usability, including the overall point of view a person the feeling of how to use the system. Focus on happiness and value and performance. The exact definition and framework elements and the user experience is still in development. Through the study, the user experience give me help in various aspects and can make me complete assignment 2.

Week 4

Through the assignment 1, we should be able to explain the ID design processes; Learning Theories and its relation to ID design; or UX design and to perform analysis on the ID design processes; Learning Theories and its relation to ID design; or UX design to help in the process of planning, designing and developing an instructional design project. 

In my group, we do a title for each member because it can easy to finish the assignment 1. My title is UX design. what the user experience (UX). User experience is a term used to describe the overall experience and satisfaction a user has when using a product or system. It most commonly refers to a combination of software and business topics, such as selling over the web, but it applies to any result of interaction design. Based on this definition, then, user experience is the characterization of what a user feels while using any product, this can extend from a car to a mobile phone to a magazine or a child’s toy. Most commonly, however the specific term ‘user experience’ is applied to that of software, web applications and digital devices whereas the more general user-product experiences are referred to as ‘experience design.’ Through I know for a long period of time, the user experience can let me get a lot of help on my assignment. First and foremost, I can understand the user experience design is in order to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty. In addition, the utility and ease of use and happiness in the offer customers the benefits of products.

Week 3

Today, we do a team charter. The purpose of team charter is record our group goal and objective, members tool communication and so on. The objective and group goal in this team has been formed to complete a digital instructional content for an online course project. Our overall objective is to work together effectively, follow through on commitment and help each member of the team to learn. After that, we will always have a meeting for our plan on every Tuesday and Thursday, besides that we are using Facebook messenger and Skype to discuss with team member if we have problem In the project. Every Tuesday and Thursday we will have a meeting at our campus, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College at 1.00pm until 3.00pm. Each member should be arrive 15 min early before the meeting start because we have to combine the entire folder.

Week 2

My class have 14 people, so we must have four groups in class.There are three or four members in a group because we all feel and who in a group are the same so we used the draw to decide the group for us.

After we decide the group, every group start to discuss the assignment 1. The title assignment 1 is Describe and evaluate articles related to learning theories, instructional design models and UX design. We will use an online search service to locate at least three full-text primary research articles (most of which should be published within the past 10 years) that relates to a topic on Learning Theories, Instructional Design Models, and UX Design. This assignment is to assist us in our group project. We will need to:
  1. Create full citations using the style of the American Psychological Association (APA),
  2. Provide information regarding the search done, including search terms (e.g., “online”, “ux design”) and database used (e.g., “Academic Search Complete”)
  3. Summarize the key ideas from the article in her or his own words (not quoting the abstract or other extended passages from the article—though short quotes may be used when properly cited using APA format)
  4. Discuss the articles with respect to your personal view in the topic, and how it relates to our group project. We will need to identify points of connection and/or contrast among them.
All articles used for this assignment must be available as full-text online articles so that we can download the article and provide it to our instructor if needed. After that, the weightage of this assignment is 30% of the overall marks for the course. The assignment should be submitted on Week 7 (15th November 2015) before Sunday midnight. If submit late will deduction of 5 marks of the maximum mark available from the actual mark achieved by the student is imposed each day upon expiry of the deadline.A further deduction of 5 marks is imposed continuously each day within the 5 subsequent working days or until the 50% “pass mark” for the assessment has been reached. Any time after this point,assessment will not be allocated to late submissions but will be assigned a mark of zero and deemed to be a non-submission. We will be deemed to have failed the assignment if our final mark is below the 50% “pass mark” after late penalty.

Week 1

Today is the first day of college, I go to college with excitement, I am looking forward to each of the subjects who are teaching. This cause is content management, is my lecturer teaching in sem 2.This sem is my second year in this college, the first week of college is lecture week is not any tutorial class.

First day lecture, lecturer will brief about the cause and the assignment. This cause is full cause work so is not any exam in final. In this cause, we have 2 assignment, the first assignment is individual and second assignment is group. This two assignment have relevance because if not done the assignment 1 then cannot start the assignment 2.
